News University Lecturer put in prison (February 07, 2010) A university lecturer has been jailed for having sex with a girl aged fourteen. The lecturer from Newcastle - Upon - Tyne, arranged to meet the girl at a hotel  in Jersey in 2006. Years later she informed the police who found child pornography on the lecturer's computer hard drive.  The lecturer was sentenced to four years and nine months and was also ordered by Newcastle crown Court to sign on the sex offenders register for life.
