News Driver faints and kills cyclist (January 12, 2010)
Yesterday, a court freed a driver who had fainted at the wheel and it was claimed they had killed a cyclist.
The driver of the motor vehicle had been talking on their mobile telephone minutes before the impact. The driver stated they could not recall the accident.
Medical experts testified the driver of the vehicle was not in conscious control of the car. A charge of causing death by dangerous driving was dropped.
