Earl's Court Exhibition Centre to be developed

Earl's  Court, the famous London art deco exhibition centre has been sold and might be demolished to make way for a housing development.

The venue has hosted the world's biggest acts has been sold to developers. 

Earl's Court will host the volleyball for the 2012 London Olympics and the site will not be developed until after that date.

Earl's Court opened its doors in 1937 when it hosted the " Chocolate and Confectionery Exhibition".
