It is interesting to read in the newspapers this morning how much impact the cold weather is having on the United Kingdom and Europe. 

In England, one local government roads authority are predicting their snow removal and gritting budget will run out any day. The agency will no longer be able to grit the roads in their area. 

Germany is bracing itself for a serious snow storm.
