Greetings from downtown Toronto.
Firstly, the journey to Toronto from Europe went well. The plane left just as the snow was starting to fall in London.
At Toronto Pearson Airport the temperature was - 10 degrees and also the windchill was - 19 degrees, on landing. Currently the temperature in downtown Toronto is - 7 degrees and a windchill of - 13 degrees. There is some snow on the ground.
The movie "AVATAR" opens in Toronto today. This is a must see movie.
Payton Manning is really playing well this week and is making some fantastic passes for the Colts. Payton made four touchdown passes yesterday.
Toronto Football (soccer ) Club are doing better this season.
This morning, allegedly, another Tiger Woods partner has been announced on Toronto TV. Allegedly, a "Tiger Would" , movie is being contemplated.
The Toronto Maple Leafs ice hockey team are at the bottom of the league.
For ice hockey fans in London, the " Maple Leaf Public House " , in Covent Garden, has Maple Leaf games on TV and Canadian Beer to enjoy in their sports bar.
Unfortunately, the Montreal Canadians are in a goal scoring slump this season. Sydney Crosby, is doing well playing ice hockey in the US.
"Rogers Wireless" who sell the IPhone in Toronto and "Research in Motion", who make the "Blackberry" , have had data problems overnight due to the weather here in Toronto.
The Olympic Torch is in Toronto this morning. Currently, at 6: 30 am Toronto time , the Olympic Torch is outside the CN Tower and then the Torch goes via jarvis Street to Brampton, Ontario. Toronto is very excited about having the Olympic Torch in downtown Toronto today.
in weight, the Olympic Torch weighs 3.5 pounds to carry. The runners say the Torch feels light to carry.
Torontonian's are lining the streets to see the Torch as it passes by. A Christmas Parade type atmosphere is in downtown Toronto today.
The new decade is not far off now , Toronto Transit will be offering drinkers free transport home on New Years Eve.
Toronto Dominion Bank (TD Bank) have this morning announced the Canadian recession is over. We will see.
