Can we create the best big city on Earth?

Posted on 2:03am Saturday 5th Dec 2009

The decisions made in at the recent Copenhagen environmental meeting need to engender a step change in how we in London tackle climate change.

But the actions by individuals are also vital.

The Mayor of London is focused on delivering programmes that help Londoners play their part more easily.

The London capital is introducing a programme to offer 200,000 homes a free carbon makeover by 2012. City Hall pledges to catalyse the potential of the new era, post Copenhagen, to bring together Londoners, businesses and investors to create the best big city on earth.

We can all recycle our rubbish, shop locally, buy products with less packaging and waste less food. Some cities such as London, are investing millions of £ to turn rubbish that can not be recycled to heat and light our homes and businesses.

What do you think ? We think it will have to be done.
