Should the law believe in assisted death?

Posted on 11:18pm Saturday 12th Dec 2009
If someone wishes to die because they have a terminal illness or are just too old to manage their affairs any more and want to die by travelling to Switzerland to have a lethal injection to do so, should they legally be allowed to do so? What should the law do in a situation like this?

What should be the legal position of countries with respect to their citizens in this regard be ?

Should the law allow or declare illegal such assisted death?

Should ethics be allowed to influence the law? What should the Courts of Law do with such an issue?
