Football bad boy, and cult figure, Joey Barton has made his opinionated views clear through the medium of twitter once again. Barton is a huge celebrity in the Twittersphere, if not an amazing footballer. This time his abuse has been hurled at BBC pundits Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker after they criticised his latest meltdown at the weekend. Barton has had a string of misdemeanours to his name both on and off the pitch and has served jail time. For a detailed description of what he did on the weekend check my earlier blog post. 

Barton’s currently on holiday with his family in Portugal, but faces a 10-match ban when he returns home and it seems as though his QPR career is over after boss Mark Hughes said his indiscipline was a step too far. 

The Twitter comments started after Shearer had said Barton was ‘never going to calm down’ on Match of the Day Sunday Night. Here are a string of Barton’s tweets, with some from Lineker:
