BBC newsreader Alice Arnold took on a litter lout after he tossed a plastic bottle out of a car window. It happened on monday whilst traffic was stopped. Witnessing the bottle tumble to the ground from the car in front, she promptly got out of her car, picked it up and hurled it back through the open window.
The 49-year-old Radio 4 star said she ‘wasn’t brave, just cross.’, but her ‘heart beat faster’. She said “it was a youngish couple with a few piercings. They didn’t say anything when I did it but they looked surprised. My heart beat a bit faster but I’m still alive.” I’m not sure why she felt the need to mention they had piercings when she herself has pierced ears. If she’s trying to make out that people with piercings are lesser people then she should couple herself with that group, in using her ridiculous ideology.
