Thirty-nine year old Neil Coulson has complaied that Beyonce’s security team prevented him from witnessing the birth of his premature twins due to Beyonce delivering her own baby.
Coulson says that security cleared a waiting room where some of his relatives were waiting, some of whom had travelled four and a half hours to the Manhattan hospital.
Beyonce and Jay-z had paid $1.3 million for a bulletproof maternity wing, with numerous bodyguards positioned around the wing. Their daughter, named Blue Ivy Carter (what an appalling name!) arrived via scheduled Caesarean section on Saturday night.
Speculation about the origin of the name has been wild, with some suggestions being that Jay-z has a trilogy of albums called The Blueprint (original, 2 and 3), and the original blueprint was released around the time that Beyonce and Jay-z got together. Some people have suggested that the Ivy originates from their love of the number 4, as they married on April 4, 2008, Beyonce’s latest album is called 4, Beyonce was born on September 4 and Jay-z was born on December 4.
