Potential January move for Demba Ba

Newcastle’s star striker Demba Ba has revealed he has a £10 million release clause in his contract.

The Barclays Player of the Month for December has sparked interest from all the top clubs in the Premier League, especially after his stunning performance against champions Manchester United on wednesday night, scoring the first goal and being a constant danger until his late substitution.

He is currently the second top scorer in the league, only behind Robin van Persie, who has been in devastating form for all of 2011. Newcastle will surely have no intention of letting Ba leave, although if Ba was wanting a move to a bigger club who could afford it, he could trigger the release clause.
