The University of Cambridge is planning to reduce teaching time

As many of you are aware, the members of our firm are graduates of the University of Cambridge.

The university is planning to reduce the number of tutorials and lectures stdents receive in one of its most popular subjects, despite last week approving pland to increase fees.

One of the greatest things about the University of Cambridge is that it can cultivate niche and particular intesests.

A review of the University of Cambridge's English faculty concluded that the number of Tutorials , known as Supervisions , is  ëxceedingly generous"and doubts whether it is desirable"."

The University of Cambridge proposals to reduce teaching time , in the subject of English , are likely to be seen as an alarming sign of possible cuts looming across British universities, even if undergraduate fees increase from next year.

The University of Cambridge English course is one of the most famous in the world and its alumni include the authors Sebastian Faulks, Robert harris, Zadie Smith and Howard Jacobson.

The review also proposes cutting the number of lectures, which have already fallen by eleven percent , "with a view of using teaching officer's time more effectively" because many are only attended by a small number of students.

One aim of the proposals is to free up academic's time for research, which has provoked a furious reaction frm students, who fear the University of cambridge sees them as a secondary priority.
