Credit Card Companies can predict when a couple will divorce

Is Big Brother watching you get divorced?

An astonishing fact has been reported from the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Texas, where the world’s brainiest techies are gathering.

According to a Vice – President of Google, credit card companies can predict when a couple is going to divorce, two years in advance , with ninety – eight per cent accuracy.

And that is just one of the ways our information can be used these days.

Loopt, a mobile social network , can predict with ninety per cent accuracy  where its users will be tomorrow; an algorithm on another website., Hunch , has worked out that users who prefer aisle seats on planes “spend more money on other people than themselves.

The Google Executive was trying to reassure us – currently , it does not exploit such information to its potential. I’m not sure that sets my mind at rest.
