A Christian Leader has been killed in Pakistan
The only Christian member of the Cabinet in Pakistan has been killed. The Vatican condemned the terrible gravity of the killing. The Cabinet member was a member of Pakistan's small community of Christians.
The Cabinet Minister had received death threats in the past and said he was prepared to die for his faith.
Under Pakistan Law, Christians are victims of the blasphemy law that has given radical clerics the freedom to urge the killing of anyone who is even perceived to have defiled Islam.
Recently a female farm worker was sentenced to death after other women accused her of criticising Islam.
The Pakistan government were to amend the law of blasphemy, however to date this has not occurred.
