A City of London banking executive has been told they might lose their job after sending an email whilst under the influence of alcohol. The email was sent to hundreds of employees warning that a male colleague was a womaniser.

The email was sent at 1:40 am accusing a male co-worker of sleeping his way around all of the secretaries.

The email was copied to senior bosses and the co-worker himself, claiming a friend had contacted a sexually transmitted disease from him.

Senior officials at the bank are considering terminating the female employee's contract because of the indiscretion.

The bank tried to prevent the embarrassing email from leaking out, however they were unable to stop the email from appearing on the Internet.

Employee privacy had been violated by the email, a bank employee stated .
