Automated confession service is criticised

French Roman Catholic Bishops have criticised an automated phone service on which Catholics can confess their sins. 

Callers to The Line of the Lord are advised:  

" For advice on confessing, press one. To confess, press two. To listen to some confessions, press three. "

The service will tackle only small sins, for mortal sins, it advises callers to contact a parish priest.
