A huge police manhunt is currently underway following the separate murders of a 50 year old woman and an 81 year old man in their own homes. More than 100 officers are now involved in the search for 35 year old James Allen following the deaths of Colin Dunford in Middlesbrough on monday, and Julie Davison in Whitby, yesterday.
Detectives have described the killings as ‘two brutal murders in the victims’ own homes’. 35 year old James Allen is being urgently sought by police following the murders. Initially the forces wanted a man with a dark-coloured mountain bike to come forward, and he had been said to be white, around 5ft 9 inches to 6 ft tall, in his late 20s to 40s, of slim build and unkempt appearance.

Team Great Britain men’s football team will be playing their first match for 41 years as an Olympic warm-up game. They will be playing against Brazil, one of the favourites, at Middlesbrough on July 20. It will be part of a double-header at the Riverside Stadium with Team GB women’s team, coached by Hope Powell, taking on Sweden before Stuart Pearce’s men play Brazil.
A Great Britain team last played an international in an Olympic qualifier against Bulgaria in 1971, and have not played in an actual Games since 1960. Pierce said: “I’ve learned a great deal about the Olympics since I was given the opportunity to lead this team and I realise just how massive an event it is going to be for the whole of Great Britain. In world football they don’t come much bigger than Brazil and it should be a terrific occasion for us going into our first match.”
Good luck to both GB teams and hopefully they clinch gold.

Two of Canada’s best ice hockey centremen, Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews, have declined invitations to pay at the World Hockey Championship next month. Crosby’s agent Pat Brisson says his client wants to spend the next four months focussing on the next season through off-ice training. Because of his concussion, Crosby was unable to train last summer as aggressively as he would have liked and wants to make sure he’s 100% ready for next season’s training camp. He had 8 goals and 37 points in 22 NHL games this season.
Crosby commented on the situation to the Canadian Press, “Typically, I’d be there in a second, but this isn’t a normal situation and this isn’t me trying to hide away from the world championships. I love playing for Team Canada. Anyone who is questioning that right now obviously doesn’t know me or aren’t thinking right.”
Toews, who saw his Chicago Blackhawks get eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs on Monday, missed the last 22 games of the regular season with an upper-body injury. Similar to Crosby, Toews bypassed the invitation in order to regain full health.

An American gynaecologist claims he has found the ever elusive G-spot. He says it isn’t a myth and really does exist, although it only measures 8.1 mm by 3.6 mm by 1.5 mm. He found the elusive erogenous zone during a post-mortem examination. The tiny piece of tissue is extremely rich in nerve endings, and has had millions of men searching for it since its existence was first mooted more than 60 years ago.
It was so hard to find that two years ago a large scale British study concluded that the G-spot was a figment of women’s imagination. Dr Oztrenski, who found the G-spot, said: “this study confirmed the anatomic existence of the G-spot, which may lead to a better understanding and improvement of female sexual function.”

Single father Stuart Chaifetz fit his 10-year old autistic son with a secret recorder after teachers were telling him that his son was being violent in school. His son, Akian, had always been gentle and loving, and this description was so out of character. What he found was truly shocking.
Not only were Akian’s teachers at Horace Mann Elementary in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, talking about being drunk at school and sex, and gossiping about pupils and their parents, they were also taunting, shouting and swearing at his son. The teachers were heard saying things such as: “go ahead and scream because guess what? you are going to get nothing until your mouth is shut” and “oh Akian, you are a bastard.”
After taking the audio to the Cherry Hill School District one of the teachers involved was fired although the other teacher is still at the school. Disgraceful.

Chelsea FC tied FC Barcelona 2-2 tonight to get through to the Champions League final. They won on aggregate as they won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge last week. They had been England’s only hope for the Champions League with English teams such as Manchester United losing in the group stages.
Beating the oft cited best team in the world Barcelona is an extraordinary feat in itself although tying them 2-2 at their stadium, the Nou Camp, is simply unbelieveable. Chelsea managed this feat with only 10 players on the pitch as controversial captain John Terry inexplicably kneed Alexis Sanchez from behind. The famous quotation ‘lead by example’ evidently isn’t applicable to Terry.
Barcelona scored the first goal of the match late in the first half, shortly before Terry saw red. Sergio Busqets tapped home from close range for an easy tally. At the end of the half Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta scored to put the Spaniards two goals up. Ramires answered for Chelsea shortly after with a clever chip over the keeper.
Early in the first half Chelsea conceded a penalty, which the best player in the world Lionel Messi missed, slamming the shot into the crossbar. With seconds remaining substitute Fernando Torres scored Chelsea’s second to make it 2-2 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate. Chelsea will now face the winner of tomorrow night’s game of Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich.

Demi Lovato is no longer a little disney princess pop singer aiming to be an idol to all the 10 year old females worldwide, as she recently confessed that she uses cocaine as a way of battling loneliness after appearing in front of thousands of fans. Lovato went into rehab in 2010 for a number of personal issues, including an eating disorder, depression and self-harming.
Lovato believes club promoters enabled her, stating: ‘promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. they wanted me to come back so i would be seen there. they were basically kissing my ass.” Speaking on her self-harming, Lovato said: “It started with my wrists. People saw that, so I cut in places they couldn’t see. You do it because you feel so bad inside. You don’t know how to take it out other than on yourself.”
She also reveals that she wanted to quit rehab but was persuaded to stay by her mother. So now not only is she a terrible singer but a terrible role model as well.

It is without a doubt that modern society is extremely materialistic, with all the youths wanting the newest iPods, mobile phones, and game consoles. All schoolchildren have various creative methods on how to gain these material items, but one 4 year old Saudi schoolboy took it to new extremes.
After his father refused to buy him a playstation he grabbed his father’s pistol and shot him to death. As the man was undressing, he put the weapon down, which the child then grabbed and fired at him from close range.
This will surely add fuel to the debate that playing violent video games makes youngsters aggressive and violent. A British teacher recently warned that children as young as four were hitting classmates are they re-enacted scenes from violent 18-rated games. There has been no real empirical evidence to support this thesis, and on that note i’m off to play Grand Theft Auto.

After months of trash talking and drama, mixed martial artist Jon Jones was able to silence former teammate and current nemesis Rashad Evans at UFC 145 on Saturday night, or Sunday morning UK time. The Light Heavyweight bout was for the championship belt, with Jones holding the belt before the encounter. Jones defeated Evans via unanimous decision to retain his belt, the judges scored 49-46, 49-46, 50-45.
Jones and Evans used to be best friends and training partners at renowned training gym Jacksons MMA. Things were going fine until Evans got injured before his bout to challenge the Light Heavyweight title. UFC president Dana White consequently asked another promising fighter to challenge for the title; Jon Jones. Jones won the fight and this is where fact blurs with opinion.
Jones claimed this is what soured the relationship as Evans got jealous. Evans states that it was shortly after when Jones answered in an interview that he would fight Evans if Dana White wanted him to. Evans consequently claims that Jones betrayed his trust and Evans proceeded to leave Jacksons MMA in order to mount a challenge for Jone’s belt. After numerous fights fell through due to injuries and such, Evans and Jones squared up on Saturday night and the world saw who could walk the walk after both of them talked the talked.

Police Chief Inspector Mark Brew, aged 47, has been fired after being caught using a work phone to download porn and exchange dirty text messages. He was in charge of more than 100 officers on Merseyside’s Matrix anti-gun unit. At his hearing it was revealed that Brew (married) left a junior officer in charge of a conference whilst he sneaked off for lunchtime sex with a married lover. He denied the accusation of lunchtime sex, despite a confession from the woman, also married.
Brew did confess to using his police issued iPhone and Blackberry to search for pornography online, and to send and received sexual text messages with two women, believed to both be colleagues on the force. In addition he was accused of making a junior officer drive 200 miles to pick him up from a conference in London and drive him home to Liverpool.
A Merseyside Police Spokesman said: “We can confirm that a misconduct hearing took place last week for a serving police officer. Following this hearing, the officer, a chief inspector, was dismissed with immediate effect for gross misconduct.”
